Attention for the use of freezing tubes

2022-01-06

* Being removed from the liquid nitrogen container, the cell freezing tubes may burst occasionally. So how to avoid this?

1. Please strictly follow our product instructions when freezing the cells. This means the freezing tubes should be preserved in the gaseous phase of the liquid nitrogen container and avoid immersing in the liquid phase of the liquid nitrogen container to prevent liquid nitrogen from entering the freezing tubes.

2. The reason why the freezing tubes burst is generally that the liquid nitrogen enter the tube during the preservation. As the external temperature rises sharply after the tube is removed from the liquid nitrogen container when the cells are resuscitated, the gasification volume of the liquid nitrogen in the tube expands rapidly, leading to the burst of the tube, which is not a product quality problem.

* What should be pay attention to when using the cell freezing tubes?

1. Before putting the freezing tubes into the liquid nitrogen container, please make sure that the cap has been screwed in place (it is right to feel obvious resistance, do not exert excessive force to cause screw tooth deformation). The volume of frozen liquid should be less than 90% of the working volume of the freezing tubes. For example, the volume of liquid in the 2mL freezing tube should be less than 1.8mL.

2. The freezing tubes need to be preserved in the gaseous phase in the liquid nitrogen container and must not be immersed in the liquid phase.

3. When resuscitating frozen cells, please take personal safety precautions, and wear safety goggles (mask is better) and anti-freezing gloves throughout the process.
